Millbank Academy

Father Matthew Catterick 

The Reverend Matthew Catterick has been the Vicar of St Saviour’s Church (opposite Pimlico Academy) since 2011. His work as a parish priest means that he encounters people from a wide range of backgrounds, and he is keen to encourage generosity and mutual respect. Father Matthew has degrees from the universities of Chichester, Oxford and London and he believes that education is key to building a better world. He regularly gives talks in primary and secondary schools and he is delighted to be a Governor at Millbank Academy, which he is sure will go from strength to strength.

Dr Renie Choy 

Dr Renie Choy is the mother of three children: two sons who attend Millbank Academy, and a daughter in secondary school. She works as a university lecturer and holds a doctorate in History from Oxford University. Dr Choy is an experienced Parent Governor, having previously served at a primary school in central London where she was Vice-Chair of the Achievement and Curriculum Committee. She is passionate about Millbank Academy’s ambitious approach to learning and keen to demonstrate the ways it improves educational experiences and outcomes for pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Richard Maynard 

Mr Maynard has one child who has attended Millbank Academy since Reception. He is a qualified secondary school teacher with a keen interest in the work that Millbank does with children with special educational needs. Mr Maynard is an active member of the Westminster Parents Participation Group, and looks forward to using his contacts and knowledge of the Westminster Council Special Educational Needs system in his governor role. Mr Maynard is keen to add his parental perspective to the Local Governing Body in supporting the school’s ethos of respect, care and achievement.
