Pimlico Academy

Caroline Nash 

Lady Caroline Nash is a co-founder and trustee of the Future Charity. Caroline is the founder of Pimlico Primary and has been the driving force behind the Trust’s knowledge-rich approach. As the Director of the Curriculum Centre, Caroline has personally written the British History, Ancient History and Geography KS2 curricula as well as advising on all other aspects of curriculum development. She read Modern History at the University of Bristol. Caroline is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee.

John Nash, Chair of governors 

Lord John Nash is a co-founder and trustee of the Future Charity. He read Law at the University of Oxford, was a venture capitalist for 30 years, and was Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Schools between 2013 and 2017. John is a passionate advocate for social mobility and leads the Trust’s Education Enrichment strategy. John is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Sarah Richardson 

Sarah is Director of Public Affairs at Centrica Energy and was Lord Mayor of Westminster and Deputy High Steward of Westminster Abbey from May 2013 - June 2014.  Sarah was instrumental in the academisation of the failing Pimlico School, and the selection of Future as Sponsor.

Paul Smith 

Paul is Chief Executive of Future Academies. Paul is Accounting Officer for the Trust. Paul's background is as a National Leader of Education, principal of a teaching school, school inspector and, most recently, as an RSC.

Maiken Vestergaard-Poulsen 

Maiken has background in management consulting with McKinsey & Co. and in sales and marketing with AstraZeneca. She is a board member and co-owner of Burner International, located in Denmark and holds an MSc Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School as well as an MSc Psychology from University of Westminster.

Daniel Woodruffe 

Daniel works mainly in the voluntary sector, in primary education both in Westminster and Lambeth.  He is on the steering group of a free school for secondary students diagnosed with an autism-spectrum condition. Daniel's two sons attended Pimlico Academy.
